CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Joint Base Charleston representatives say they are following inclement weather scheduled for Sunday and altering their plans for the Airshow accordingly.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be performing at noon instead of 3 p.m. so long as weather permits.
“All performances, including the Thunderbirds, are subject to favorable weather conditions,” they said in a statement.
The Airshow team is monitoring the weather and plans to keep the public informed through their social media to give out the latest information.
Gates are still set to open at 9 a.m. to allow people to peruse static aircraft displays and take part in other airshow festivities happening on the ground.
They want to remind the public that walking on to the base is not permitted and those planning to attend should be sure to have an alternate method of arrival if they wish to get in.
