Guilford County deputies said 28-year-old Alton Bright Jr. received a $100,000 bond in connection to a felony hit-and-run in Greensboro.
GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested in connection to a felony hit-and-run Wednesday, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said a deputy attempted a traffic stop Tuesday on Pleasant Garden near Industrial Avenue, and a driver sped off, sparking a chase. The deputy followed the driver for a mile before the vehicle crashed in front of Vandalia Christian School. At the time the driver crashed the car, the deputy was still some distance behind him. There was never physical contact between the deputy and the driver’s vehicles.
The driver, 28-year-old Alton Johnny Bright Jr., of Greensboro, ran from the scene while deputies provided aid to the people in the vehicle.
Warrants were obtained for Bright Jr. for the following charges:
