Former Eagles star Jason Kelce lands post-retirement announcing job at ESPN, reports say [Video]

PHILADELPHIA — Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has a new job, according to a report.

Kelce, who announced his retirement with an emotional 41-minute speech last month, will join ESPN as part of the “Monday Night Football” pregame show, according to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand.

The 36-year-old beloved Philly icon was courted by several networks for a potential announcing gig after last season when it was widely reported he was going to hang up his cleats. He reportedly had conversations with ESPN and FOX before the Super Bowl, even though he had not yet officially announced his retirement.

It was also speculated that Kelce might join Amazon Prime’s football coverage since he was the subject of a popular documentary on Prime.  

Kelce also had talks with CBS and NBC for a spot in their studios as well.
