Cone Health is partnering with the City of Greensboro to expand health and wellness programs in East Greensboro.
East Greensboro is a part of the plan.
A representative from Cone Health said it is merging the Vance Chavis Library and the Windsor Recreation Center to create a hub for health, books, and education programs.
The new building will be called the Windsor Chavis Community Complex.
“For the existing Vance Chavis Library we are having a conversation with the city on re-imagining the health and wellness program and using the term health hubs. Where you could find everything you can need to manage your health all in one place. We are looking forward to exploring that opportunity within the City of Greensboro as well,” Cone Health Senior VP Ambulatory & Consumer Services Deno Adkins said.
He explains it is all a part of the CATCH 5 initiative to add five years of life and closing the 15-year gap in life expectancy for those in need.
