Chris Pratt Shares His Cat-Like Method Acting in The Garfield Movie Vignette [Video]

Sony Pictures just dropped a new vignette featuring Chris Pratt in The Garfield Movie. Method acting has never been so laid bare… The voice behind the film’s titular feline shows how he prepared for the role of a lifetime… the who, what, and why of his catness.

Pratt’s Garfield was incredibly cute long before he was insufferably indifferent… but then he got bigger; directed by Mark Dindal, the new 3DCG animated film finds the eponymous kitty, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, as he is about to have a wild outdoor adventure, clawing its way into theaters May 24.

After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

The film’s stellar animation is produced by DNEG Animation.
