CBU President Dave Archer announces retirement [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A change in leadership is coming to Christian Brothers University.

President Dave Archer is retiring after serving as the university’s leader for two years. CBU’s Board of Trustees accepted Archer’s retirement earlier this week.

Following this announcement, the university’s senior leadership team will be managing the day-to-day operations until a new president is named so that the campus community can appropriately remain focused on its 2024 graduates.

After graduation, CBU’s trustees will announce and welcome the university’s newest leader.

Archer was appointed interim president on November 5, 2021, at the departure of the previous president, Jack Shannon. At that time, he was an associate professor at the university and served as the director of CBU’s Healthcare MBA Program.
