We have exciting news for military members who need help with their kids in the Interior. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has finished construction on a brand new state-of-the-art child development center at Fort Wainwright. It has heated flooring, arctic entries, and a warm, inviting color palette to battle Alaska’s sometimes harsh weather. The new facility can accommodate 338 children under the age of 5. Plans for a ribbon cutting and grand opening are in the works!

Major construction will be going on this summer at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau. KTOO reports the Junaeu planning commission has given the green light for a gondola to be installed at Eaglecrest. Plans to build new access roads, new mountain bike trails, and a snow tubing park were also approved.

Hutchison High School in Fairbanks will have a new principal next school year. According to the Daily News Minerthe Fairbanks North Star Borough School District has dubbed Dave Dershin to take the reigns at Hutchison. …
