Womens hygiene drive at North Dakota State University [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Just after Women’s History Month, students at NDSU have organized a women’s hygiene drive that will provide menstrual products to local organizations for free.

This is through the Human Development and Family Science Club (HDFS), which focuses on individual and family health.

Students and members of the community have been collecting these products for almost a month, which will eventually be transported to organizations that promote the health of women and girls.

Student organizers say this was created especially for women who are struggling financially.

“We want to encourage women to stand up for their human rights and their dignity, especially those who are undergoing homelessness, poverty, or any sort of trauma,” says Barbara Augustino, the Co-President of the HDFS Club.
