US 290, SH 21 closed in Bastrop County after bridge damaged [Video]

AUSTIN, Texas — A portion of U.S. Highway 290 and State Highway 21 in Bastrop County is closed after a bridge near the intersection of the two highways was damaged by heavy equipment Wednesday afternoon.

The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management reports that the highways are closed in both directions near the accident.

There is no timetable for when the area will reopen, and delays are anticipated.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
