Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, two bars battling in court to use the same name are continuing their legal battle as one location opens while the other remains closed. Tracey’s Bar on Magazine Street and 3rd will be open this weekend after months of closures. The bar’s former tenant, who is also seeking to use the bar’s name at a location on Magazine Street near Louisiana Avenue, will not be open. The bar said in its post that they do not have their liquor license and will not be able to open for St. Patrick’s Day festivities. This comes as the bar battles over who owns the name of the business.
