The Bridge Sports Complex to hold its first ever triathlon in August [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – For the first time since its conception, The Bridge Sports Complex will host the ‘Weather the Storm Triathlon’. On August 3rd, athletes of all ages can swim, bike, and run through the course. The race offers three different distances separated by categories, the kid’s triathlon, super sprint, or sprint. Madolyn Mallory, Marketing Manager at The Bridge, hopes the event will be a hit for Bridgeport and beyond.

“Anytime that we can bring a large crowd into Bridgeport, we’re excited because it has such an impact on the community and economy,” Mallory said. “We like to drive business to restaurants and things like that. We are hoping to even expand beyond just Bridgeport to the whole region if we could just get tons of people from all over because this is a unique course.”
