Emergency warning sirens are being tested through 5 p.m.
BIG SPRING, Texas — If you live in the City of Big Spring and you’re hearing emergency warning sirens, no need to be alarmed – it’s a test.
Big Spring Fire Department Chief Jay Holt posted a public service announcement to social media Monday morning to alert residents the storm sirens will be tested in short intervals from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday for maintenance.
“We will complete siren testing at 5:00 P.M. Any siren heard after 5:00 P.M. on March 4, 2024, will not be a test,” Holt said.
