TARGET has been accused of overcharging customers at several locations.
The retail giant faced scrutiny after a new report claimed several stores in California made shoppers pay a bit extra for some merchandise.
Price inspection reports collected by the Marion County Department of Agriculture, Weights, and Measures from 2023 and into 2024 revealed shocking data, per SFGate.
They claimed that a Target store in Novato, about 30 miles north of San Francisco, specifically overcharged on cocktail mixers and containers that did not qualify for the California Redemption Value, a benefit for recyclable packaging that could be returned for a refund.
According to the data included in the report, the Novato Target also did not pass several re-inspections.
