Several high school football stadiums receive upgrades ahead of the season [Video]

(WALA) – Many high school football stadiums across our area are getting some much needed upgrades before the 2024 season kicks off in August. I went out to Spanish Fort, Elberta, and Mary G. Montgomery to see how things are coming along.

Elberta High School is one of the fastest growing schools in the state and with that steady growth, comes the need for improvements. The football team will get to play in a brand new $6 million dollar stadium this season, one that can fit 2,500 people on Friday nights, complete with a new press box, restroom building, field turf and athletic training room.

In just two weeks, what once was this construction zone has transformed into a place the Warriors can feel proud to call home when they take the field this season.
