NEDERLAND, Texas — Nederland city leaders, food truck owners and restaurant owners have been working diligently over the last six months to loosen the city’s current food truck regulations.
“You’re allowed a special event or temporary permit so you can have one a month, so 12 a year, and it’s limited to just food trucks that are operated or owned by a business owner in Nederland or a resident of Nederland,” Nederland City Manager Chris Duque told 12News.
The new regulation allows anyone to apply for this special permit, and the second change would allow food truck vendors to set up food trucks all year long, according to Duque.
