Meals on Wheels launches Save the Lunch campaign [Video]

BREWER, Maine (WABI) – One of the programs that Eastern Area Agency on Aging takes part in is Meals on Wheels.

But they’re in need of support to continue their mission.

Meals on Wheels is running a Save the Lunch campaign as they battle inflation and cuts to federal funding.

“As you may be aware, Maine is one of the oldest states in the country and very rural in this part of Eastern Maine. And due to that, we have a lot of older adults that don’t have any help and family members around that are stuck at home and don’t have access to healthy nutritious meals on a regular basis. And Meals on Wheels is crucial in order to help them receive that needed nutrition on a daily basis and have consistent meals in order to continue to be independent and live at home as long as possible,” said …
