Man pays off student lunch debts in late wife’s legacy | News [Video]

Lunch debts in random Oklahoma school districts are getting paid off thanks to a man who’s honoring his wife’s legacy. He’s even documenting on social media spreading the good news. 

Recently, Sean Cummings wrote a check to Union Public Schools wiping out the debt for seniors and students at Ellen Ochoa Elementary. It all started when his wife Cathy, who died from her cancer battle in February, wanted to do something to make in impact after her passing. 

“My wife died of cancer for those that don’t know that,” Cummings said. “Before she died, she was trying to come up with an idea of something that could have an actual impact, not idea, not a, ‘could we work on this legislative,’ not call our political friends, but something we can finish.”
