Man accused of torturing dog sought by Douglas County Sheriff [Video]

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man suspected of torturing a dog.

DCSO shared images Thursday of the dog’s injuries on social media. 6 News cautions our audience that the photos are disturbing.

DCSO said in the social media post that deputies are searching for Gabriel Moore, who has an active felony warrant for torture of an animal, a Class 3A felony, resulting from an investigation conducted by the Nebraska Humane Society.

Authorities believe Moore may be homeless.

Anyone with information regarding Moore’s whereabouts is urged to submit a tip to the DCSO Fugitive Unit at 402-599-2633.

The Nebraska Humane Society told 6 News that the dog was able to be placed into a home.
