Looking ahead to CMZoos Run to the Shrine [Video]

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — It’s April, so we can start saying Run to the Shrine at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (CMZoo) is next month! PR and Social Media Manager Rachel Wright shared all the information with Loving Living Local host Nova and even brought in a little ferret friend, Alfred, into the FOX21 studios.

Run to the Shrine is the annual fundraising fun-run or fun-walk through the Zoo and up to Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. CMZoo is a nonprofit and one of the few AZA-accredited zoos that doesn’t receive tax support, so your registration helps fund animal care and Zoo operations as well as improvements.

CMZoo is hosting the Run to the Shrine on two evenings this May: from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. Run (or walk!) to the sound of roaring lions and take advantage of the only opportunity of the year …
