MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) – For almost 34 years now, Marcy Hancock has called herself a Bobcat at West Broadway Elementary School.
Her time spent at this school has helped her realize that if teaching isn’t fun for her, then it won’t be for the students learning around her. This has resonated onto other educators who now all share the same goal.
“If it’s not about the kids then there is no use in worrying about it,” says Kristin Duff, a fourth grade teacher at West Broadway Elementary School.
She is known not only as a teacher, but also as a mentor, role model, and motivator for many.
“She can make you laugh anytime, and do anything that’s fun,” says Koen Logan, a 4th grade student at West Broadway Elementary School.
