Kentucky SBDC opens Ashland Office [Video]

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) – A service designed to help businesses in our region opened a new office in Ashland on Wednesday.

The doors are now open on a brand-new Kentucky SBDC Office on the 7th Floor of the Community Trust Bank building on Winchester Avenue.

SBDC stands for Small Business Development Center, and this Ashland office will be primarily serving businesses in Boyd, Greenup, and Lawrence counties — providing free services.

“We offer all types of services. The Kentucky SBDC has been in existence since 1981. We offer startup services, we offer services to existing businesses, to help them expand, we offer all sorts of business services, to help them start growing and expand,” Center Director Michelle Spriggs said.

In this office, the charge is led by Terri Branham-Clark, a business coach, who has roots deep in Ashland, Kentucky. She said getting to serve businesses in the area she loves …
