CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Ingleside held its annual State of the City address hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Thursday, discussing a number of projects it is working on.
City Manager Brenton Lewis gave a rundown of plans within all city departments.
Some of the updates included a new animal control shelter building that is currently under construction and a new citizens academy to help the community learn about city government.
Ingleside is also focusing on a brand new $26 million wastewater facility that is close to starting construction.
“We are at 80 percent capacity anything over that you’ve got to start planning and we’re already in the planning and we’re all ready,” Mayor of Ingleside Oscar Adame said.
