CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) – You’ve probably experienced it yourself, that icky feeling in your stomach when you’re scrolling through social media and you see your friends party at a fancy new club or shop at an expensive boutique.
It’s called “Fear Of Missing Out,” or ‘FOMO,’ and it’s usually sparked by excessive use of social media which is why younger generations are particularly at risk.
Jaren Doby, a therapist and public speaker, joined the show to help us better understand why we experience these feelings of jealousy and anxiety and how we can help our children deal with them in a healthy manner.
