Hibbett Sports, City Gear opening soon in Tyler [Video]

TYLER, Texas — A new sports apparel store will soon call Tyler home.

Sporting goods retailer Hibbett Sports will occupy the spot formerly held by the Nike store, located at 8930 South Broadway Ave., Suite 292, in at The Village at Cumberland Park. A building permit for the store was approved on March 15. 

Also coming to The Village at Cumberland Park, City Gear, operated by Hibbett Sports, will open a location near Hibbett Sports in Suite 204 across from Bath & Body Works, at The Village at Cumberland Park. A permit was also approved for this location on March 15. 

City Gear sells athletic clothing and shoes from brands like Nike, adidas, New Balance and Hoka. 

Both stores are set to open in May.
