Branding is the reason someone buys from you, while Marketing is the reason someone buys from you first.

Branding is a process that aims at building loyalty. In contrast, Marketing only aims at generating an immediate response to it.

While Branding is about being what the target consumer needs, Marketing is about doing what the target consumer wants.

All in all, while Branding speaks to the heart, Marketing speaks to the mind.
