Newly appointed Conservative deputy chairman Jonathan Gullis found himself publicly gutted on air as one GB News guest panellist Amy Nickell-Turner blasted him as “that violin player” comforting the doomed passengers on the Titanic “as it sinks.”

Gullis, who took up the new senior role on Tuesday, had a hard time selling his party’s vision at the network as host Patrick Christys presented him with new polling figures that showed Reform UK’s growing appeal among those who voted Tory in the previous election.

Reform UK, rebranded from the Brexit Party, boasts several GB News hosts among its ranks, from its only sitting MP, Tory defector Lee Anderson, to leader Richard Tice and its honourary president Nigel Farage.

Invited on GB News to discuss tomorrow’s newspapers, Christys highlighted a new “shocker” of a poll that showed just 44 percent of the Tory vote share “would vote Tory again, with 20 percent now saying they will turn to Labour.”
