Final Airshow may go on if weather permits, Joint Base Charleston says [Video]

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Officials with the Airshow said they are closely monitoring the weather to see whether other acts in the airshow will continue.

While they did have to stop the Thunderbirds performance, they are still weighing the possibilities of other performances.

“The following performances will remain if weather permits; T-6 Warbird Thunder, F-35B Demo Team, and C-17 East Coast Demo Team,” said a representative with the airshow.

The Airshow team is monitoring the weather and plans to keep the public informed through their social media to give out the latest information.

Joint Base Charleston representatives say they are following inclement weather scheduled for Sunday and altering their plans for the Airshow accordingly.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be performing at noon instead of 3 p.m. so long as weather permits.

“All performances, including the Thunderbirds, are subject to favorable weather conditions,” they said in a statement.
