Family schedules funeral services for Riley Strain [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The family of Riley Strain scheduled funeral services for Riley Strain.

Strain disappeared in downtown Nashville on March 8 during a fraternity trip. Strain’s body was found on Friday, March 22, eight miles downriver.

The memorial will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 East Seminole, in Springfield. Services will start at 2 p.m. on Friday. Strain graduated from Springfield Kickapoo High School and attended the University of Missouri.

His disappearance caught the attention of national and social media, which led to much unfounded speculation around the circumstances of his disappearance and death. A searcher finding Strain’s debit card on the banks of the Cumberland River stoked the flame of speculation even further.
