Euclid Animal Shelter staff and volunteers gathered for a “clap out” as their longest resident left for the start of his brand new life.
EUCLID, Ohio — You’ve heard the expression: “Every dog has its day.” At the Euclid Animal Shelter, Monday was Chester’s day!
After spending 587 days awaiting adoption, Chester has “left the building” after a very fond farewell from staff and volunteers he lined his walk to an awaiting limousine, courtesy of Lake Erie Limo.
The stretch vehicle took Chester and Shelter Director Kyrie Brickman to his new home in North Royalton.
Chester’s story dates back to August 10, 2022 when he and 3 other dogs were found inside an abandoned home.
While the other dogs were loose in the house, Chester was chained in such a way that he couldn’t lie down and with no access to food or water. Of the four dogs, he was in the most medically fragile and in fact Brickman believes …
