Daisy Brand coming to Boone, Iowa [Video]

BOONE, Iowa — The Boone City Council on Monday unanimously approved a resolution allowing Daisy Brand to move forward with plans to build a facility in town. 

Daisy Brand, known for products such as sour cream and cottage cheese, plans to bring 255 jobs to the area and invest $708 million in the Boone community. 

The company will now seek state funding from the High Quality Jobs program through the Iowa Economic Development Authority. They are set to meet on Friday.

“This project will be immensely beneficial to not only the city of Boone, but also Boone County and the entire central Iowa region,” Mayor Elijah Stines said in a statement. “I am incredibly excited for the positive economic impact this project will bring and the continued success of Daisy Brands and their impeccable line of dairy products.”
