D.A. to host free shredding, electronic waste disposal event on Staten Island [Video]

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Office of Richmond County District Attorney Michael E. McMahon will be hosting a document shredding and electronic waste disposal event on Saturday, May 18, to help residents protect their identity and personal finances.

For some, rejecting unfamiliar calls has become habitual – a daily occurrence in the age of scam artists. Still, others continue to fall victim to identity theft; conniving scammers preying on the innocent populace.

That being said, while denying calls and avoiding alarming emails is all well and good, McMahon said shredding sensitive documents is also “critically important.”
