Creative Media Production Level 3 at Strode College [Video]

This promotional video has been planned, directed, edited and produced by a Level 3 Creative Media Production student at Strode College, Somerset, UK. The Interactive Product assignment introduces students to a range of skills and techniques including Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, photography, recording interview, framing shots and working with a client. Each student is asked to produce a short promotional film for a given course, and a poster containing a QR Code that links to the film. Our Marketing Team at the college work with the media students so that the poster they create conforms to the college’s branding guidelines such as colour palette, font and layout. This is a challenging project that will give the students an opportunity to create an impressive product for their portfolio. Employers value this type of project as it shows that the media students are able to work with a client, work within guidelines and to a deadline. It also allows them to develop their creative skills in camera work and editing.
