Cleaner shares brilliant toilet limescale remover for under 2 [Video]

Limescale commonly appears when living in a hard water area when calcium carbonate builds up around taps, showers and in toilets.

Writing on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, an anonymous member wrote: “I have just moved into a new home and the toilet is brown at the bottom. Is this limescale or damage? How should I go about removing the stubborn stain?”

Reassuringly, limescale can turn brown over a period of time, but this isn’t dirt so there is no need to worry.
