Bond set for former Titans scout accused in murder of girlfriend, unborn baby [Video]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Davidson County judge has set a bond amount for the former Titans scout charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend and unborn baby.

Blaise Taylor is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony murder. Blaise Taylor, son of former University of Tennessee assistant coach Trooper Taylor, was indicted in March by a Davidson County Grand Jury.

The younger Taylor is accused of poisoning Jade Benning on Feb. 25, 2023, and the unborn baby which Taylor allegedly fathered.

A judge has set his bond at $2.5 million.

At an April 18 court hearing, Benning’s best friend Nijaiha Jackson said Taylor initially left Benning after he found out she was pregnant with his child. He said he wasn’t going to be part of the baby’s life, according to Jackson’s court testimony.
