Online scams which see people lose thousands of pounds are a huge problem and ITV1 morning show This Morning often covers stories of people who have been scammed out of thousands of pounds. On Monday, March 18 they featured a woman who lost £40,000 due to a scam and Ben Shephard sent out a stark warning to viewers.

Guest Janice lost her money during a cryptocurrency scam, which she believed was genuine as Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis appeared in the advert. This is not the first time people have fallen for scams that use Martin in their advertising to draw people in and the money guru is constantly warning the public not to believe any adverts that include him, as he never does adverts.
