MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — It’s a project that’s been in the works for a few years, but is now officially open for business.

The Madisonville Police Department has a brand new training center and 44News got an inside look.

Madisonville police officers will train for all sorts of scenarios and situations inside the building, and so will several other departments from all across the Commonwealth.

It sits at 755 Industrial Road in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Inside the building, it has just about everything to assist officers with their training.

“We have training here typically on a weekly basis. We’ve had de-escalation training. We’ve had mental health training. We’ve had officer safety training, even jujitsu,” says Major Justin Jones of MPD’s Operations.
