2024 State of Downtown Tulsa Report shows a downtown in transition | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. – The Downtown Tulsa Partnership released the 2024 State of Downtown Tulsa report on Thursday.  The report is an in-depth and data-rich snapshot of ongoing development and economic growth in downtown Tulsa.

From census data the report shows that those choosing downtown Tulsa as their new home are trending younger. The median age is 34.8 years old with 79 percent of the almost 5-thousand downtown residents single or unmarried.

According to the latest survey over 38 thousand people work in the downtown district with over 21-hundred businesses.

Visitor traffic has surpassed pre-pandemic levels with over 2-point-1 million annual visitors in 2023. The report details the tremendous growth downtown with projects such as the new Veteran’s Affairs and Oklahoma Psychiatric Care hospitals on the Downtown Academic Medical Campus of the OSU Center for Health Sciences.
