This is the time of year the waterfall is particularly amazing to see, and this year the view has even more water flowing over the falls.

In a social media post, the weather service stated it was for a few reasons.

“Courtesy of back-to-back near normal to well above normal snowpack years in the Upper Snake River Basin, water managers have increased releases from upstream reservoirs leading to quite the show in Twin Falls,” the post stated.

Additionally, Southern Idaho Tourism announced that Shoshone Falls After Dark will return from Thursday to Sunday each week of May. However, although there will be twice as many shows, each show will last half the time.

Southern Idaho Tourism said due to high demand, the shows this year will be shorter than in previous years to “allow for more ticket sales because the event has a history of sell-out nights.”
