NEW ORLEANS — “I’ve watched him grow up,” Pediatrician and WWL Louisiana Medical Correspondent Dr. Corey Hebert said. “I was his doctor.”

Last month, Jvoine Elow told Pediatrician and WWL Louisiana Medical Correspondent Dr. Corey Hebert he was going to have good grades on his next report card.

“When I would tell him he could be anything he wanted to be, I could tell he believed me.” Dr. Hebert said.

Dr. Hebert would never see the A’s on Elow’s report card. Elow is one of three children killed in separate shootings across the metro area since Friday.
