World Economic Forum (WEF) President Borge Brende urged political and business leaders to work together despite their differences to meet “critical priorities” in his closing remarks on Friday.
“Driving economic growth, reducing carbon emissions, finding ways to end conflict – all cannot wait. And the only way to progress on these issues is by working together,” he told the closing session of this year’s WEF held in the Swiss ski-resort Davos.
Over five days of meetings and panel sessions, the war in Ukraine, the Middle East crisis, AI and the climate crisis have been discussed.
And looming large over the meeting have been the first days of US President Donald Trump’s presidency.
Trump virtually addressed the WEF on Thursday.
