Women on social media are coming to the horrifying realisation that a not insignificant portion of the male population frequently urinate in bottles and jars rather than use a toilet.

Tales of such disgusting discoveries are plentiful on TikTok and Instagram with wives, girlfriends, sisters and mothers unearthing collections in bedrooms and branding their male loved ones ‘pretty f****** disgusting’.

While it’s easy to dismiss the habit as sheer laziness, experts say it can be a sign of serious health conditions.

One video that recently attracted viral attention on Instagram, and has been viewed nearly 400,000 times, featured one woman who discovered her 38-year-old boyfriend had been urinating in a large jar at home. 

Her experience has been echoed by dozens of threads on Reddit, in which thousands of women add their comments to tell of uncovering similar collections.
