This election cycle, campaigns from both political parties zeroed in on young voters, pushing celebrity endorsements and social media advertising. Prior to President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, BeyoncĂ© told supporters to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris while Trump got social media endorsements from YouTubers like Jake Paul. Harris appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and Trump sat down with Joe Rogan. “Younger voters were a focus of both campaigns, but with very different messages to them,” Marquette Law School Poll Director Charles Franklin said. It was all an attempt to reach critical young voters and get their support. “The Democratic organizing certainly focused on young voters.
