Warrants: Pickens Co. man encouraged child to pose for inappropriate photos [Video]

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office said a man has been charged after he was found in possession of inappropriate photos of a child.

According to the sheriff’s office, a tip was reported by the social media application MeetMe Inc. and contained evidence of the distribution of images consistent with child sexual abuse material.

Information in the tip led Special Victims Unit investigators to an identification of the suspect, Tommy Dale Swaynghame.

Deputies said a search warrant was executed at Swaynghame’s home and multiple electronic devices were seized for forensic extraction. Images found in the tip and the phone belonging to Swaynghame were consistent with a room in the home and a 12-year-old child victim was identified.

An arrest warrant reported that Swaynghame encouraged the child to pose nude for photographs.
