Verizon customers in Lincoln having issues contacting 911, police say [Video]

Verizon customers in Lincoln are experiencing issues making 911 calls, according to the Lincoln Police Department. 

According to an LPD post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, if Verizon customers call 911 to reach the Lincoln Emergency Communications Center and receive a busy tone, emergency services can still be reached at 402-441-6000.

The outage began at about 11:40 a.m. The reason for the outage is unknown, and LPD will post on their social media account when the issue has been resolved.

New Orleans Saints Alvin Kamara reports training camp: source [Video]

One of the New Orleans Saints star players at the center of a contract dispute for weeks has arrived to training camp. Sources tell WDSU that running back Alvin Kamara has reported to training camp in Irvine, California. Kamara missed the final mandatory minicamp practice several weeks ago, reportedly due to contract issues. Despite being at training camp, it is unclear if he will participate or if the contract extension issues have been resolved. Saints head coach Dennis Allen has yet to speak to any potential problems with Kamara. Kamara has been with the Saints since 2017 and is entering his eighth season with the team. He is in his final year of his current deal where he's scheduled to make a little more than $10 million. Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Dennis Allen are holding a news conference Tuesday night at 5:45 p.m. central. That news conference will stream on WDSU.com and WDSU's social media platforms.
