Uniphar revenues and profits increase in H1 [Video]

Pharmacy group Uniphar has reported annualised increases in revenue and profit before tax for its half year.

The company brought in revenues of €1.37bn in the first half, up 10.3% from €1.24bn during the same period last year while profit before tax increased 2.8% from €22.8m to €23.4m.

Gross profit increased 9.9% from €188m to €206.7m as a result of significant growth across all its divisions.

Uniphar’s supply chain & retail business contributed gross profit of €95.3m (+8.1%) following the acquisition of McCauley’s Pharmacy Group, and its medtech arm made €53.5m (+3.4%).

Growth in Uniphar Pharma outpaced the other businesses at 20.5%, with the division making a gross profit of €57.9m, an improvement of nearly €10m from H1 2023 (€48m).

EBITDA increased 6.3% year-on-year to €55.8m, and the group reported an operating profit of €32.2m, up 15.1% from €28m a year prior.
