Tulane says water main break could impact buildings on Broadway [Video]

According to Tulane’s post on X, “Due to repairs on the Broadway waterline, water service to Greenbaum House and some buildings along Broadway will be interrupted”

NEW ORLEANS — Tulane University took to social media Thursday afternoon to announce that a construction incident caused a water main break on Broadway.

According to Tulane’s post on X (formerly Twitter), “Due to repairs on the Broadway waterline, water service to Greenbaum House and some buildings along Broadway will be interrupted.”

University officials say they will update when service is restored.

This is an ongoing story, and WWL Louisiana will provide further details once more information becomes available.

Hurricane Francine caused widespread power outages and flooding across Southeast Louisiana. As crews continue to assess damage, some schools are announcing closures for Friday, Sept. 13.
