Toho International has released the official trailer for the upcoming animated film My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
My Hero Academia is a Japanese anime series based on the popular comics by Kohei Horikoshi, which introduce a world where about 80% of the population has a superpowered Quirk. The comics have been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014, have appeared on The New York Times bestseller list several times, and sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
In the film, Izuku Midoriya, a U.A. High School student who aspires to be the best hero he can be, confronts the villain who imitates the hero he’s long admired. Can Deku and the rest of U.A. High Class 1-A protect the world by putting an end to Dark Might, the man claiming to be the new Symbol of Peace?
The TV anime adaption has run for seven seasons, which stream on Crunchyroll, and inspired three films.
