Teen suspect in Preston Lord Queen Creek murder case released [Video]

Talyn Vigil, 17, posted bond and was released with electronic monitoring on Friday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — One of the seven suspects in a murder case in Arizona has been released from jail, authorities said.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to 12News that 17-year-old Talyn Vigil posted bond and was released with electronic monitoring on Friday.

Vigil is one of seven people – mostly teens – who are suspects in the murder of Preston Lord, a Queen Creek teenager who was assaulted at a Halloween party. Two days later, Lord died from his injuries. His death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner.

Vigil made his initial court appearance on March 7 and faces charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. 

Vigil was arrested alongside Talan Renner, Taylor Sherman, William Owen Hines, Dominic Turner, Treston Billey and Jacob Meisner. All seven suspects …
