Taoiseach Simon Harris attended the official opening of the Greystones Regional Innovation District (GRID) in the Co Wicklow town on Friday.
Harris and Cllr Paul O’Brien, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, officially launched the facility, which has been designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth in Greystones.
Located in the Charlesland area, the hub offers an environment for businesses and professionals equipped with office space, a co-working area and hot-desking options.
GRID has more than 14,000 sq ft of collaborative workspace and aims to eliminate the need for entrepreneurs to commute to Dublin and elsewhere while enhancing attracting talent and investment to Greystones.
In addition to the private offices and convenient and affordable flexible workspaces, GRDI also has state-of-the-art meeting rooms, high-speed internet, and networking events and programmes.
“I am proud to be in my home county today to launch a state-of-the-art facility that will bring Greystones Regional Innovation district to the next level,” Harris said.
