It’s becoming too familiar in the summer months, strong and damaging storms creating destruction in peoples neighborhoods.
Wednesday night the National Weather Service issued multiple tornado warnings in Allegheny County, Westmoreland County and Indiana County.
There are pictures and videos surfacing on social media from different people in Westmoreland County showing the damage from these storms.
KDKA Radio had multiple callers describe the storms on Wednesday night.
Helen called in and said she was staying with her friends in Trafford when she got the warning a tornado could be in the area.
“The power went out, and it was like a freight train went through. I screamed! We looked out the back, this giant tree is laying in my friends yard. It’s an enormous tree. Tomorrow is garbage day, everyone put their cans out and the cans are all over everywhere,” said Helen to Michael Bartley.
